Persone: l'unità del Sudan non è attraente

قال الأمين العام للحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان باقان أموم إن السنوات التي أعقبت توقيع اتفاق السلام لم تجعل خيار الوحدة بين جنوب السودان وشماله جاذبا. في هذه الأثناء أجرى الزعيم الليبي معمر القذافي محادثات في طرابلس مع الرئيس السوداني عمر حسن البشير.
وأشار أموم في حديث للصحفيين بالقاهرة عقب انتهاء الجولة الثانية من المحادثات بين شريكي الحكم في السودان المؤتمر الوطني والحركة الشعبية، إلى أن محاولات فرض الوحدة على الجنوبيين بالقوة "أثبتت فشلها".
وأكد أن الجنوبيين قادرون على إدارة الدولة الوليدة إذا ما اختار الجنوب الانفصال عن السودان في استفتاء تقرير المصير المقرر تنظيمه في يناير/كانون الثاني المقبل.
ووفقا لأموم فإن التوقعات تتجه نحو الانفصال في الاستفتاء، لكنه شدد على ضرورة أن يكون الانفصال قائما على التعاون والعلاقات الطيبة.
ولفت إلى أن حركته تتحاور مع المؤتمر الوطني بشأن الديون الخارجية المستحقة على السودان (36 مليار دولار) ومن سيتحمل أعباءها إذا اختار الجنوبيون الانفصال.
وأجرى شريكا الحكم بالسودان على مدار اليومين الماضيين مباحثات في القاهرة تناولت جهود الحفاظ على السلام والاستقرار في مختلف أرجاء السودان، وتدعيم عناصر الوحدة والتوافق بين حزب المؤتمر الوطني والحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان.
وعلى صعيد متصل، أعلن مسؤول أممي بارز أن الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة بان كي مون يفكر في تعيين لجنة مكونة من ثلاث شخصيات بارزة لمراقبة الاستفتاء المقبل.
وقال رئيس عمليات حفظ السلام الأممية آلان لوروي إن الدور الرقابي للمنظمة الدولية في الاستفتاء المزمع كان قد طُلب من المنظمة في رسالة من كل من الرئيس السوداني ونائبه سلفاكير ميارديت.
